| CEO Lee Jae-hyung: "Building a next-generation integrated authentication architecture by combining the technologies of both companies"

Octatco, a company specializing in phishing-resistant authentication security, is set to target the Zero Trust-based integrated authentication security market through strategic cooperation with Nets, a leading domestic IAM/SSO company.

IAM (Identity and Access Management) refers to a system that manages user identities and access privileges, while SSO (Single Sign-On) is a technology that allows users to access multiple systems with a single login.

On the 18th, Octatco announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nets for the "Zero Trust-based IAM·MFA Cooperation Project." This agreement was designed to build a next-generation integrated authentication architecture by combining the authentication and access control technologies of both companies, thereby strengthening their competitiveness in the security market.

With the recent acceleration of cloud transitions and a surge in authentication-based attacks such as phishing and Account Takeover (ATO), phishing-resistant authentication technology has emerged as a core security element capable of overcoming the limitations of traditional OTP and SMS-centric authentication methods. In particular, authentication technology based on the FIDO2 (Fast Identity Online) standard is gaining attention as an alternative that can fundamentally block such attacks.

Through this collaboration, Octatco plans to implement an integrated security structure that combines a phishing-resistant authentication framework with an IAM/SSO environment. This will be centered around its phishing-resistant M2A (Multi-Attribute Authentication) service, 'OCTATCO MFA,' and its fingerprint security key, 'EzFinger.' Most notably, the company plans to further enhance authentication reliability by applying an M2A-based approach that verifies not only the user but also the device and environment.

The strategy aims to provide a highly reliable authentication architecture that comprehensively verifies various attribute data—such as users and devices—going beyond simple Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

By jointly providing an integrated authentication and access control solution that combines IAM/SSO with Phishing-Resistant MFA, the two companies plan to simultaneously support enterprises in strengthening internal controls, responding to regulations, and improving security levels. They particularly plan to expand their Zero Trust-based authentication business, focusing on the public, financial, and large enterprise markets.

"This cooperation is an important turning point in implementing practical Zero Trust security by combining phishing-resistant authentication with IAM/SSO infrastructure," said Lee Jae-hyung, CEO of Octatco. "Based on FIDO-based global standard technology and an M2A-based authentication structure, Octatco will further solidify its technological leadership in the Zero Trust-based integrated authentication market."
