OCTATCO (CEO Lee Jae-hyung), a specialist in Zero Trust security, announced on the 6th that it has entered into a partnership with Goodmorning Information Technology (CEO Lee Joo-chan) and NEOINE (CEO Park Gye-hyung). The collaboration aims to advance authentication systems within the Zero Trust security environment and substantially elevate the information security standards of enterprises and institutions. To this end, the three companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote the Zero Trust authentication security business.

This collaboration stems from the critical realization that existing perimeter-based network security and simple login-oriented authentication methods cannot sufficiently respond to realistic threats such as account takeovers and phishing attacks. Recently, in the Zero Trust security landscape, the ability to accurately distinguish whether the entity accessing the system is the actual user or an intruder using stolen account information—rather than simply checking if the login procedure was passed—has emerged as a core security element.

To address these Zero Trust security requirements, the three companies plan to jointly implement an authentication system that clearly verifies actual user identities, thereby taking the security level of customer environments to the next level. In particular, this cooperation goes beyond merely linking specific technologies; it aims to secure the reliability of authentication suitable for the Zero Trust environment, strengthening overall security posture.

Under this agreement, NEOINE will handle access control and authentication judgment in the Zero Trust environment using its 'Silverfort'-based authentication judgment and policy technology. OCTATCO will provide Phishing-resistant authentication technologies, including its fingerprint security key 'EzFinger C,' based on FIDO2 international standards. The two companies plan to build a mutually complementary structure that ensures the system secures reliable user identity information based on their respective roles.

In particular, OCTATCO aims to focus on the role of definitively proving "whether the person currently connected is the actual user," enabling the Zero Trust security system to make correct judgments. Through this, the company intends to strengthen its role as an authentication layer that assists security decisions based on actual user verification, rather than just account information or the number of authentication steps.

Additionally, Goodmorning Information Technology will be responsible for business planning, customer response, and project execution for the overall Zero Trust authentication security business, leading the market expansion and customer adoption of these joint solutions. The three companies plan to maintain a continuous cooperative relationship by monitoring operational status and sharing necessary information even after the business launch.

"Until now, secondary authentication (2FA) methods like OTP and SMS have been mainly used to increase verification steps during the access process. However, in a Zero Trust environment, simple verification methods alone are insufficient to judge whether the entity currently accessing is the actual user," said Lee Jae-hyung, CEO of OCTATCO. He diagnosed, "In Zero Trust security, 'what was verified' is becoming more important than 'how many stages of authentication were passed.'"

CEO Lee added, "OCTATCO's authentication focuses on Phishing-resistant authentication that proves identity based on the 'person themselves' by directly confirming the user's existence and intent, rather than a method of entering additional information. Our goal is to help IAM and Zero Trust security systems make more accurate judgments based on actual user presence rather than just account credentials."

Taking this MOU as an opportunity, OCTATCO plans to expand its partner ecosystem centered on authentication technologies optimized for Zero Trust security architecture. The company also intends to accelerate its expansion into domestic and international markets as a core security company that safely supports the entire IAM environment beyond simple authentication.
