OCTATCO has announced that its Zero Trust-based Phishing-Resistant Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technology has been adopted as the new fingerprint authentication system designed to strengthen internal controls across Woori Bank’s 256 overseas branches.

The system features OCTATCO’s Phishing-Resistant MFA and FIDO2 Fingerprint Security Keys as its core components. This solution ensures robust security by verifying user identities based on Zero Trust principles and multi-factor authentication.

Using the new system, employees can securely log in and approve transactions with their personal EzFinger Fingerprint Security Key. This approach eliminates unauthorized access and proactively prevents financial risks that could arise from task delegation among employees.

A key feature of this solution is its secure handling of sensitive data like biometrics, which is encrypted and stored within the security keys themselves. This ensures strong protection against cyber threats such as phishing and credential theft.
