KISA Expands Cybersecurity Cooperation with Indonesia, Celebrating 10 Years of Partnership

• “Korea–Indonesia Information Security Partnership Day” held in Jakarta

The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced that it held the “Korea–Indonesia Information Security Partnership Day” in Jakarta on the 19th. The event was organized in cooperation with Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and supported by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Bae Kyung-hoon).

Since 2015, KISA and Indonesia have collaborated in various areas, including strategic hub operations, talent development, and joint ASEAN projects.

This year’s event aimed to strengthen the joint cybersecurity response system and expand business cooperation between the two countries, marking a decade of continued partnership. More than 120 participants attended, including representatives from Indonesian government agencies, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, retail companies, as well as Korean cybersecurity companies.

Participating companies included five firms specializing in data and system security solutions (GiwonTech, MarkAny, NPCore, Stealien, and Wiz Korea) and six companies offering access control, authentication, and integrated security management solutions (LSware, OCTATCO, Piolink, QuadMiners, RaonSecure, and SmartM2M).

KISA stated that it will continue to support Korean companies’ global market expansion and the establishment of a cybersecurity cooperation network in the ASEAN region, building on the foundation of long-term Korea–Indonesia collaboration.

KISA President Lee Sang-jung said, “We hope Korean cybersecurity technologies will play a meaningful role in Indonesia’s digital transformation strategy. KISA will continue to actively support Korean companies’ overseas expansion so that ‘K-Cybersecurity’ becomes a trusted global brand.”
