OCTATCO Deploys FIDO2 Authentication Solutions at Woori Bank’s Overseas Branches

• Supplying FIDO2-based Multi-Attribute Authentication solutions ‘OCTATCO M2A’ and Fingerprint Security Key ‘EzFinger’ Expanding partners to target markets in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan

OCTATCO, a company specialized in biometric authentication and security solutions, announced on the 15th that it is strengthening its presence in the Southeast Asian market with its FIDO2-based Multi-Attribute Authentication solution ‘OCTATCO M2A’ and Fingerprint Security Key ‘EzFinger.’

OCTATCO is expanding its market by collaborating with local distributors in Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, and other regions. In June, OCTATCO plans to sign a distribution agreement with a local partner in Indonesia and hold a conference inviting over 200 local financial sector professionals.

Last year, OCTATCO successfully implemented an internal control and Authentication solution for Woori Bank’s overseas branches. The solution is currently used by approximately 1,200 employees across 256 branches in 13 countries including Tokyo, New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, the Philippines, and India. This year, the authentication solution is scheduled to be introduced in Woori Bank’s corporate branches in Indonesia and Vietnam.

OCTATCO has signed a supply contract for FIDO2 MFA and Fingerprint Security Keys with a local bank in Vietnam and plans to launch the system by the end of July. Starting with this, OCTATCO plans to accelerate market expansion focused on local financial and public sectors. The company aims to support effective compliance with security and privacy regulations in each country and establish itself as a trusted authentication security partner for its customers.

Jaehyoung Lee, CEO of OCTATCO, stated, “Based on OCTATCO’s technology and references, we will actively target global markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East,” adding, “We will establish ourselves as a global leader in authentication security in the security-critical financial, public, and enterprise markets.”
