OCTATCO Expands into Indonesian Security Market with Local Cybersecurity Conference

Information security company OCTATCO (CEO Lee Jaehyoung) participated in the "Cybersecurity at Both Ends: Strategic Zero Trust and Operational Defense" conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 17th. During the event, the company gave a session titled “The Key to a Safer Future: Passwordless, Phishing-resistant MFA, and Zero Trust”, where it introduced its FIDO2-based Zero Trust authentication platform and fingerprint security keys.

The event was hosted by OCTATCO’s Indonesian distributor, PT PLANA Networks Indonesia (PAN), and co-sponsored by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN). More than 150 cybersecurity experts from financial institutions, public organizations, and industries from both countries attended.

In its session, OCTATCO presented core technologies including FIDO2-based biometric authentication, phishing-resistant authentication methods, and an access control model aligned with Zero Trust architecture. The company drew attention for its Multi-Attribute Authentication (M2A) approach, which simultaneously verifies the user, device, and location using fingerprint data. In particular, its design—storing biometric data only within the device’s secure hardware enclave, not on a server—was recognized for its strong security and privacy protection.

In the conference’s keynote address, BSSN Director Alfred Saut spoke on “Strategies for Building Digital Trust through Zero Trust Architecture,” highlighting the growing policy and industry interest in Zero Trust frameworks in Indonesia, a direction that aligns well with the core strengths of OCTATCO’s FIDO2-based solution.

OCTATCO is actively expanding its presence in major Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, focusing on Zero Trust identity and authentication solutions for financial institutions and public sector clients.

The company highlighted its solution’s strong compatibility with Windows Hello, Azure AD, and Microsoft Entra, and its integration of hardware-based security keys with a cloud authentication platform—making it a go-to solution for Southeast Asian enterprises transitioning to Zero Trust.
